through whatever
is in the way.
The signal does not ask
if the receiver is ready.
It travels
until it finds
the frequency
that answers back.
Neither one
was planted
by the thing
that benefits
from its arrival.
Both emerged
from conditions
that were simply
right enough.
That is not luck.
That is what happens
when something
stops waiting
for permission
to become
what it already is.
